IEEE Smart City: Bangladesh perspective
Robo Mechatronics Association (RMA) & FABLAB, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology organized a two day robotic competition called “Expeditious ’18” with the title sponsorship of Unipolar and the co-sponsorship of IEEE Bangladesh Section & IEEE Robotics & Automation Society Bangladesh Chapter on 29th June, 2018 at PME (Petroleum and Mining Engineering) Building, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). This year’s event is the continuation of the previous four years.
The Chief Guest Prof. Dr, Md Rafiqul Alam, Vice-Chancellor, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, inaugurated the event. Special Guest of the event was Dr. Shaikh Anowarul Fattah, Professor, Department of EEE, BUET; Director, Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering (INPE), BUET; Nominations and Appointments Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section and Chair, & IEEE Robotics & Automation Society Bangladesh Chapter.
The event lasted for 2 days in which 31 teams of 13 universities from all over Bangladesh participated with great enthusiasm. Winners of Expeditious 18 were announced at the end of the event. Team Tennesine from International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) became the champion and Team SUST Robo Sapiens from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) was the runners-up for Clash of Bot competition. For RoboPras competition, Team Khepa1.7 from CUET was the champion and Team Unity from CUET was the runners-up. Team Cadroit from CUET became the winner of Cad-o-Mania competition.
Overall Expeditious ’18 had a huge success upholding its glory for five years consecutively.
