IEEE Bangladesh Section is the local section of IEEE in Bangladesh, founded on 20th November 1993. The section lies under Region-10 (Asia-Pacific). The founder chair of the section was Prof. Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan. The present chair is Prof. Dr. Celia Shahnaz.

Currently, the section has over 3,500+ members, 51 student branches, 09 Society Chapters and 02 Affinity Groups.

Also, the section has 03 SIGHT groups ( 01 section SIGHT group, 02 student branch SIGHT groups)
