

IEEE WIECON-ECE 2025 was successfully organized as an international conference focusing on emerging trends and innovations in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The event brought together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students to exchange knowledge and discuss recent technological advancements.
The conference was organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section and its WIE Affinity Group and conducted in Hybrid mode at the Long Beach Hotel, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh on 21 – 22 December, 2025. There were total 32 technical sessions, including 16 in-person and 16 virtual sessions. The scope of the conference were including, but not limited to – Nano & Semiconductor Technology, RF and Microwaves, Antennas, Photonics, AI, HCI, ICT, Signal/ Speech/ Image processing, VLSI, Power Electronics, Biomedical/ Bioinformatics etc. Students and young professionals actively participated in paper presentations, poster sessions, and interactive discussions, gaining valuable exposure to global research perspectives. The event provided an excellent platform for networking, mentorship, and collaboration among attendees from different institutions and countries. Participants presented their research work in multiple technical tracks, fostering collaboration and encouraging interdisciplinary discussion.
The conference featured 1 keynote speaker, 2 invited speakers, 1 industry speaker, 2 workshops (4 speakers), 1 tutorial speaker from academia and industry, who shared their insights on cutting-edge topics including artificial intelligence, semiconductor devices, microwave imaging, future antenna technologies, Plasmonics in HCI etc.
The conference also emphasized the participation and empowerment of women in engineering, aligning with the goals of IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE). Several sessions highlighted leadership, career development, and the role of diversity in technological innovation. Overall, WIECON-ECE 2025 was a highly engaging and impactful event that strengthened the professional community in Electrical and Computer Engineering and promoted innovation, diversity, and knowledge sharing within IEEE.
