1st Choice Position Statement (500 Words)
During last few years, the number of conferences that are technically cosponsored by IEEE Bangladesh Section (BDS) has been increased excessively. Almost 10 conferences in every year are now taking technical co-sponsorship from Bangladesh Section. My main objective is to help the Executive Committee of IEEE BDS to maintain the technical quality of these conferences. I will form a working group in consultation with the Section Chair consisting of some ExeCom members and some External Members to help the conferences for enhancing the technical quality of the conferences. Moreover, I will help the section to organize section-sponsored international conferences at a regular basis. I will also try to build a pool of expert reviewers who will be nominated by the Section to serve different conferences.

5. Performed as the Education Chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section in 2012 and 2013: involved with education related activities of the IEEE Bangladesh Section. The two activities in the year 2012 are IEEExtreme Programming Contest and the Workshop for Microcontroller-based System Design for Professional Development. A grant of 200 USD was received by the IEEE Bangladesh Section from the EAC fund of IEEE for the Workshop for Microcontroller-based Design for Professional Development.

I have been professionally studying/working in the Field of IT and CSE for the last 20 (twenty) years. I was involved in higher study (MS and Ph.D) during the year 2006 to 2012. During my higher study as well as in my current University Profession I am especially biased toward IEEE Product, Publication and IEEE oriented research submission.
However, after my return from higher study I have seen in recent years that in IEEE BDS IT and CSE professionals are well-entertained there to contribute in Bangladesh Education Sector. Eventually, I became IEEE Member on 2017 and worked as an Executive Committee (ExCom) member of IEEE Computer Society (Bangladesh Chapter) as a ‘Conference Coordinator’ for the year 2018. Now, I thought to contribute Nationally and Globally for flourishing the objectives of IEEE. Therefore, with the experience ofmy current position I have chosen the Position “Conference Coordinator”. Because, taking the experience from my job place DUET, Gazipur, I think a lots of work still needed to be done to enhance the quality conferences and conference participations, especially in the University Levels of Bangladesh. If I get a chance to have the position then I will try my best to accumulate University Levels EEE, IT, ICT, CSE, SWE, GSE, ECE and ETE students, graduates, researchers, faculties, professionals to contribute IEEE societies through quality conferences and publications. In this era of IoT and Embedded System oriented technologies, I believe my positional contribution will surely enhance the motivations of mentioned professionals toward more specific conference organization with the support from IEEE.

The qualification for the applied post includes that through of all the graduations of different levels of my study (Bachelor, Masters and Doctor of Philosophy), I spent in the field of Computer Science and Information & Communication Technology. Currently, I am working as a Professor (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) and also as a Director (Institute of Information & Communication Technology (IICT)) in Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, Bangladesh. In addition to that I have been working as an Executive Committee (ExCom) member of IEEE Computer Society (Bangladesh Chapter) as a ‘Conference Coordinator’ for the year 2018. Besides, I have contributed in IEEE through publishing numerous numbers of publications in reputed Journals and Conferences. In 2018, two of my research works are published in ‘IEEE Access’ and I have attended IEEE TENCON 2018 conference in Jeju, Republic of Korea for presenting one of my research work. Apart from these, I have worked as TPC member, Editorial Committee Member and Reviewer for different IEEE sponsored/co-sponsored/technically sponsored Conferences and Journals.
