1st Choice Position Statement (500 Words)

Student Activities is playing a vital role for the most recent activities and achievements of IEEE Bangladesh Section. I’ll maintain and enhance the vibrant activities of IEEE Bangladesh Section SAC in the following ways:

1. Focusing on quality of the event rather than quantity.
2. Encouraging student branches to do flagship events like SPAC, SPAW, SPAVe etc.
3. Enhancing activities of new societies in collaboration with different sb chapters.
4. Introducing Mentor and Mentee Service (MMS) – Expert volunteers from active sb will go to new promising sb and dormant sb to train them.
5. Bringing out future leaders of IEEE Bangladesh Section from the very root level of student branches and nurturing them through training program.
6. Implementing the Teacher In-Service Program (TISP) in collaboration with Educational Activity Committee.
7. Will be trying to arrange minimum one event in every student branch before June. Thus, every sb will cover around at least 2-3 events at the end of year.
8. Arranging student competition in different conferences to boost up IEEE membership and ensuring student participation.
9. Encourage student branches to update and report their activities by vtools.
10. Arranging session in collaboration with AG – WIE and YP, to spread their vision among the students.
