1st Choice Position Statement: considering IEEE Bangladesh Section (max 500 Words)
I am Raihan Ur Rashid. I have been working as the secretary of IEEE Bangladesh Section for the past year under the leadership of Prof. Celia Shahnaz. In the last year, I along with my team, organized around 100 events for the Section. Since June 2019, we have planned out a yearlong event schedule with the vision of successfully organizing IEEE TENSYMP 2020. In 2019, we are already working by the planned schedule. I am also working as one of the Conference Secretary of IEEE TENSYMP 2020.
To fulfil the vision, I think I need to continue to work as the secretary to maintain the workflow of organizing IEEE TENSYMP 2020. After electing again, I will give my best to continue the good work and maintain the goodwill of IEEE Bangladesh Section.

I have worked as the secretary of IEEE Bangladesh Section for the year 2019. During this year, IEEE Bangladesh Section was granted the second highest incentive by IEEE Region 10 in the whole region for the events conducted in the year 2019.
I have worked as the local arrangement chair for four co-located conferences (IEEE SPICSCON 2019, IEEE BECITHCON 2019, IEEE RAAICON 2019 and IEEE PEEIACON 2019) and one symposium (SympSIST).
I was the lead volunteer of IEEE Bangladesh Section’s new initiative, Smart City Initiative in Bangladesh. Other than that, I have planned along with the section chair and was part of the execution of “IEEE Bangladesh Section Vitality Enhancement Event Series”.
I have worked as the web manager for both IEEE WIECON ECE 2019 and 2018. As the publicity coordinator, I have led a team of volunteers called IEEE Bangladesh Section Publicity Committee 2018.
In 2017, I was the part of successful IEEE Bangladesh Section Humanitarian Activity Team under the leadership of then Humanitarian Coordinator, Md. Zakaria Haider.
Before that, I have worked as the webmaster and the chair of the Membership Development Subcommittee of IEEE BUET Student Branch on my final year as an undergraduate student.

I have worked as the secretary of IEEE Bangladesh Section for the year 2019. I have worked closely with the section chair to maintain the quality checklist by the IEEE Bangladesh Section Technical Cosponsored Conferences.
I along with my Section Executive Committee and 5 society chapters organized for the first time in Bangladesh, four co-located narrow scope conferences on 28th November to 01 December 2019. I have worked as the local arrangement chair for four co-located conferences (IEEE SPICSCON 2019, IEEE BECITHCON 2019, IEEE RAAICON 2019 and IEEE PEEIACON 2019) and one symposium (SympSIST).
In 2018, I was elected as the publicity coordinator of IEEE Bangladesh Section. As the publicity coordinator of the section, I successfully lead the design and publicity team of IEEE WIE ILS 2018, Dhaka. Other than that, I revived the dormant publicity activities of the Section.
I am currently working as the lead volunteer in IEEE Humanitarian Activity Committee funded project “Bringing Back Life to Rohingya”
