1st Choice Position Statement (500 Words)

I have been involved in IEEE activities under Bangladesh section for quite some time. That will be since 2010 under various capacities. Previously, I served the Newsletter Editor in the years 2011-13 and under my Editorship the Bangladesh Section first had its published Newsletter (4 page full color) in July 2013.
During 2018, I was also elected the Newsletter Editor for the bd section, and we have published two issues of the Newsletter.
I aspire to serve the IEEE Bangladesh community again with the same stewardship of the Newsletter Editor and serve the community with news updates and maintain connectivity once again.

1st Choice Qualification relevant to the applied post (500 Words)

Besides being the previous Newsletter editor of the section, my experience as a writer gives me some privilege to be an aspiring candidate for the post. I have been exposed to news media in my other capacity as a science popularizer. I have been involved with some leading dailies of the country for various capacities. Needless to say, these experiences adds to my candidature.

I have been involved in IEEE activities under Bangladesh section for quite some time. That will be since 2010 under various capacities. Specifically, I served the Newsletter Editor in the years 2011-13 and 2018.
Under my Editorship the Bangladesh Section first had its published Newsletter (4 page full color) in July 2013. That was a history.
I have also served various IEEE conferences in Bangladesh in various capacities – member of organizing committees (ICECE, ICIEV, ICTP etc) and leading various committees (publication and/or inauguration of ICECE, ICTP) and session chairs (ICIEV, ICTP, IEEE R-10 HTC Dhaka).

1st Choice Position Statement (500 Words)

I want to work as a newsletter editor of the executive committee of IEEE BDS. Being an ex-com in this position, I will publish regular newsletter that incorporates the highlights from different activities of IEEE Bangladesh section and its Affinity Groups, Societies chapters, Student Branches. I will prepare articles to help advertise all the programs of IEEE Bangladesh Section and circulate the benefits and opportunities of IEEE among its members.

I am working as a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, East West University. I have completed by B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering from Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka. I am a professional member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Young professionals, WIE.  I have been serving as a member of executive committee of IEEE SB DU in 2017. As a student activity coordinator of IEEE CS BDC, I have organized different workshops, seminar at the student branch chapters. Among them, Mitigating Industry-Academia Gaps in CSE/IT through Virtual Classroom, Workshop on Basic Java Programming, Membership development program, Seminar on Scientific Research paper Publishing are the most remarkable ones. Also, I have volunteered in organizing conferences as joint ICIEV & ICIVPR 2018 in Japan. I have participated in editing the newsletter of IEEE Computer Society BDC 2018. Moreover, I have taken the initiative of establishing Computer Society Student Branch Chapter in East West University and working as an advisor of that SB chapter. I have also worked as a trainer in “MATLAB Workshop” organized by IEEE Student Branch DU.
